WebDec 12, 2024 · Make-A-Wish was originally inspired by the life of Chris Greicius, a 7-year-old boy from Arizona with leukemia. Chris, who died in 1980, dreamt of helping to catch bad guys as a police officer. A family friend was a U.S. Customs agent and, with his help, Chris got to spend a special day in the company of the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
