An astronomical clock, horologium, or orloj is a clock with special mechanisms and dials to display astronomical information, such as the relative positions of the Sun, Moon, zodiacal constellations, and sometimes major planets. WebbThe hour disc is powered by a clock motor that's running at half-speed. It replaces the minute hand of the clock motor. The minute ring rests on the hour disc and is suspended by it. Gravity keeps the minute ring in the right orientation. The minute scale has marks for 0 to 60 minutes and forms a 150° arc (i.e. 5/12 of a circle). Add Tip
